Balance and confidence after a fall
After a fall, many people worry about falling again. Physical therapy on Richmond Road works on leg strength, balance and walking so you can move with confidence. If a hip, knee or back stays painful, Dr. Stephen can discuss options, including joint injections done at this office. Medicare and Medicaid are in network.
How the visit works
- Call or request an appointment online; the office calls back to confirm.
- For no-fault or workers’ comp cases we check the claim before you come in. Otherwise we check your health insurance.
- At the first visit the clinician asks what happened, examines you and orders imaging if needed.
- You agree on a plan together, and the office handles the medical paperwork with the insurer.
On Staten Island, Jake Stephen, DO, does the evaluation and orders imaging if it’s needed. The plan can include physical therapy, lumbar or cervical traction and, when conservative care isn’t enough, pain procedures done at this office, such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, or joint and trigger point injections.
